Babcock & Wilcox Vølund AB has installed flue gas condensation systems downstream of around ten biomass incineration lines. The condensers were mainly metal plate heat exchangers, and in most cases we also included humidification of the combustion air. Flue gas condensation can also be supplied in combination with a flue gas cleaning system.

Landskrona CHP 2012

Flue gas condensing scrubber and condensate water treatment

The new combined heat and power plant in Landskrona was designed for co-incineration of mainly biomass and waste (PTP). In 2012, Babcock & Wilcox Vølund AB installed a condensing scrubber including condensate water treatment downstream of a dry flue gas cleaning system.
